A customer facing is it is a public service websites that are designed for communications with the customers or the people that services the website. The different website is design for more limited audience, or specifically for people who work people who within the organization. Within customer- facing websites there is things like

— Onlines banking

— Shop

— Travel agencies

— Insurance companies.

A customer facing website is were the user pay with a credit card and they need to be very reassured way their payment will be safe and know one can use their details to buy something. However online payment is routes though many different types of secure server that encrypts all the data that the users put into the computer.

In the argos website it is open 24/7 as anyone can go onlines to see it if the shop is close. By having a website it aloud people you does not have a car to go online and get the thing they want. It is easier way to look up thing in the shop for example if the parent are getting toys out of Argos for the children for Christmas all they have to do is type it into the search box. Therefore it will be able to tell the person if the toys is in the shop or not as it would be a waste of time if the person drive to the shop and it was not there. In the Argos website it also give the people different sales which may not be on in the shop. Here is some example

In Argos there is a customer service as this is were the person is able to let the people who work in the shop know how they feel instead of going into the shop. As then the person in the shop will send the email back answer their question. By having a website it give the business more money, more business and etc.
